Additional job responsibilities (outlined below) will be assigned if the candidate is hired at the higher level.Nuclear Facilities Field Engineer 3 ($122,300 - $206,300)The Field Engineer is responsible for ensuring that the technical aspects of construction and maintenance projects are executed in full conformance with the Approved Project Documents by monitoring facility maintenance and construction activities. This is accomplished by providing input during scoping, design, execution, and project closeout to ensure baseline documents are accurate, design documents are adhered to, and as-built configurations are verified. Field Engineers expedite project execution by identifying issues, coordinating technical solutions, and providing timely guidance to the constructor through approved procedures. At the level 3 position, leadership experience is a requirement.Nuclear Facilities Field Engineer 4 ($146,800 - $254,700)In addition to what was outlined at the lower level, the level 4 Field Engineer is required to have proven leadership experience.What You NeedMinimum Job Requirements:

Current registration as a Professional Engineer (PE) is highly desirable.Education Experience for the level 4 Nuclear Facilities Field Engineer: Position requires a Bachelor's Degree in Engineering from an ABET-accredited college or university and a minimum of 12 years of practical work experience necessary to perform the responsibilities outlined above. Advanced engineering or technical degree is highly desired. Current registration as a Professional Engineer (PE) is highly desirable.Desired Qualifications:

Proficient at reviewing field material purchase requisitions through material take-off, including the review of estimated quantities and ensuring compliance with design specifications and drawings.
Advanced understanding of engineering and construction techniques, applications of engineering and construction methods, and application of technology and tools to conventional facility operation and construction operations.
Experience with design and/or installation of facility and infrastructure systms.
Expert knowledge of industry, regulatory, or Department of Energy/National Nuclear Security Administration (DOE/NNSA) codes, standards, and criteria pertinent to the particular construction discipline.
Knowledge of DOE and LANL Engineering Standards and Conduct of Engineering.
Work Location: The work location for this position is onsite and located in Los Alamos, NM.
