Provide instruction and/or collaborative services in all state and school required subjects appropriate to the needs of the student

Evaluate students using a variety of assessment strategies including formal and informal testing and/or observations

Develop goals and short term instructional objectives in accordance with regular class objectives and the needs of the individual student

Identify students and cooperate with other professional staff members in modifying and adapting school curriculum and related materials to solve health, attitude and learning problems

Communicate effectively with staff and parents regarding ongoing performance objectives and student progress

Provide the on-site child study team with data relevant to individual student needs in the areas of modification, interventions and current state laws

Utilize appropriate behavioral and motivational techniques to ensure an optimal learning environment

Maintain all records necessary for each identified student and schedule IEPs in a timely manner so as to ensure ongoing participation in the school

Maintain professional competence through participation in in-service activities

Participate in school-wide curriculum development

Assist other staff members in helping pupils solve health, attitude and learning problems

Perform other duties as assigned by Director or Director's designee
