Seeking a self-motivated individual to assist in daily functions of our growing boutique financial planning firm in Floral Park, NY. The ideal candidate will be personable, and able to communicate with the firm’s clients over the phone and via e-mail when necessary. The individual will work to support the Certified Financial Planner, as well as the Senior Financial Assistant, in varied assignments related to Financial Planning for individuals and corporate clients. We are a small 10 person office, with a family feel.
Responsibilities:
Enter financial information into financial software systems.
Maintain confidentiality in all aspects of client information.
Interact with firm clients via phone and email.
Process client paperwork.
Update and archive client information.
Perform general clerical duties.
Additional training may take place as necessary for higher-level financial duties such as entering financial trades, using industry-specific financial programs, etc
Qualifications:
Must be personable, enjoy being part of a team and have a “can do” attitude.
High attention to detail and strong organizational skills.
Ability to solve problems quickly and efficiently.
Ability to handle highly sensitive, confidential and non-routine information.
Computer literate with strong knowledge of Microsoft Office programs.
At least an Associate Degree or currently enrolled in higher level education.
Basic understanding of simple math is absolutely a must.
At least 1 year of office experience is a plus!
Finance background is a definite plus!
