The NYPD strives to foster a safe city by incorporating Neighborhood Policing into all facets of Department operations and solve the problems that create crime and disorder through an interdependent relationship between people and its police, and by pioneering strategic innovation.The Narcotics Borough Queens South seeks a qualified Accountant Level I or Level II to assist with Department operations.The Accountant will, under general supervision, with wide latitude for the exercise of independent judgement, in addition to performing the duties of Assignment Level I, performs difficult and responsible work in accounting and auditing or supervises a clearly differentiated accounting unit or auditing group comprising a substantial accounting staff.Work Location:14-04 111 St, College Point, NY 11356Work Shift/ Hours: 9:00 AM- 5:00 PMAdditional Information: The lateral opportunity Is open to current Accounts only. A baccalaureate degree from an accredited college or university, accredited by regional, national, professional or specialized agencies recognized as accrediting bodies by the U.S. Secretary of Education and by the Council for Higher Education Accreditation (CHEA), including or supplemented by 24 semester credits in accounting, including one course each in advanced accounting and auditing; or
A valid New York State Certified Public Accountant license.
