Description We are looking for an Accounts Payable Accountant to join our Client's team based in New York. The Accounts Payable Accountant will be responsible for overseeing accounting functions, managing accounts payable, and ensuring the accuracy of financial data. This role requires expertise in accounting software systems and proficiency in data analysis tools.Responsibilities: Supervisory experience and manage all accounts payable functions Use accounting software systems to process customer credit applications accurately and efficiently Maintain accurate customer credit records and ensure all data is up to date Resolve customer inquiries and provide account information as needed Oversee account coding and ensure all transactions are properly recorded Utilize tools such as pivot tables and Adobe for data query and analysis Adhere to accrual accounting principles and auditing standards in all work Use NetSuite for various accounting functions Work Concur or similar software Exercise expertise in Automated Clearing House (ACH) transactions Maintain familiarity with Google Docs and use it for spreadsheet proficiency.Requirements Possession of a University Degree in Accounting, Finance or a related field. A minimum of 7 years of experience in an Accounts Payable Accountant role or similar. Proven knowledge and experience with Accounting Software Systems Proficiency in Account Coding and Data Processing. Familiarity with NetSuite software is required Demonstrable experience with Accounting Functions and Accounts Payable (AP). Expertise in Accrual Accounting and Auditing. Understanding of Automated Clearing House (ACH) operations. Capacity to work independently as well as part of a team. Strong analytical skills and attention to detail.
