DescriptionThe AWS Commerce Platform (Pricing) Onboarding Team is looking for a Business Analyst to join our team in New York, NY, USA.AWS Commerce Platform (CP) provides the back and front-end services that enable AWS service teams to sell and AWS customers to purchase AWS services, understand and manage their infrastructure costs. The team, CP Onboarding, is responsible for supporting AWS service teams onboarding to CP platform and delivering pricing pages and calculators to external customers.The Business Analysis in our team, build tools for helping customers understand and estimate AWS costs. We have a simple idea that AWS pricing can be made easy to understand and we win when our customers make informed purchasing decisions. We are looking for a Business Analyst to learn individual service team pricing models, understand how their data is represented in the AWS Price List API, prototype excel based calculators, and finally onboard them to our calculator and pricing platforms.In this role you’ll be a point of contact for individual service teams, read pricing examples and technical documentation, analyze pricing spreadsheets, prototype calculators in excel, and use internal tools to onboard service teams. Most importantly, you’ll be helping to define the processes and tools, including operational reporting you need to be successful in this role. You will leverage your strong understanding of business operations to define KPIs, establish relevant data collection processes and build an operational dashboard.Key job responsibilities-Be a subject matter expert – develop deep knowledge of our platform, dependencies on other systems and influence our roadmap; act as a trusted adviser for our customers and turn customer requirements into feature specifications. 3+ years of Excel (including VBA, pivot tables, array functions, power pivots, etc.) and data visualization tools such as Tableau experience

Experience defining requirements and using data and metrics to draw business insights

Experience making business recommendations and influencing stakeholders

Experience with SQL

Bachelor's degree or equivalent

3+ years of relevant professional experience as a Business Analyst, BI Program Manager or related role

Preferred Qualifications

Experience in scripting languages (python) for parsing and data analysis

Strong analytical and quantitative skills with the ability to use data and metrics to back up assumptions, recommendations, and drive actions

Ability to recognize the real intentions driving feature requests and recommend optimal technical and business solutions

Project/Program management certification

The base pay for this position ranges from $59,500/year in our lowest geographic market up to $143,100/year in our highest geographic market. Pay is based on a number of factors including market location and may vary depending on job-related knowledge, skills, and experience. Amazon is a total compensation company.
