We help our customers move the world.Position Overview:Siemens Mobility is seeking a highly skilled and results-oriented Commercial Bid Manager to lead the development and execution of successful bid strategies for complex mobility projects. The successful candidate will play a pivotal role in driving revenue growth and profitability by ensuring timely and accurate bid submissions that align with Siemens Mobility's strategic objectives. This role can be based in Sacramento, CA or New York, NY working in a hybrid environment.What your day-to-day will look like:

Bid Strategy Development: Collaborate with sales, engineering, finance, and project management teams to develop comprehensive and competitive bid strategies that address customer needs and increase profitability.

Bid Coordination: Lead and coordinate cross-functional teams, including project management, throughout the bid process, ensuring effective communication and collaboration among all stakeholders.

Commercial Analysis: Conduct detailed commercial assessments of bid opportunities, including pricing, cost estimation, risk identification, contract terms and conditions, and project feasibility.

Contract Negotiation: Participate in contract negotiations, protecting Siemens Mobility's interests while building strong customer relationships.

Proposal Development: Lead all aspects of the creation of high-quality bid proposals, ensuring compliance with customer requirements, Siemens Mobility standards, and project deliverables.

Risk Management: Identify and mitigate potential risks associated with bid opportunities, including project-related risks, and develop contingency plans as needed.

Financial Analysis: Analyze bid profitability and project financial viability, providing financial insights to support decision-making.

Compliance: Ensure adherence to all relevant legal, regulatory, and company policies and procedures, including project management methodologies.

To thrive in this role, you have:

Bachelor's degree in business, finance, engineering, or a business-related field.

Knowledge of and experience with Siemens products and services.

Minimum of 5 years of experience in bid management or a similar role in the mobility or transportation industry.

Strong project management experience, including planning, execution, and delivery.

Strong understanding of commercial contracts and negotiation principles.

Proven ability to lead and manage cross-functional teams, including project teams.

Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.

Strong attention to detail and organizational abilities.

Proficiency in bid management and project management software and tools.

Excellently demonstrated communication and interpersonal skills.

Setting you apart from others would be an MBA or advanced degree in related field with experience in rail or public transportation.

The base salary range for this position in Sacramento, CA is $118,100 - $159,600 and in New York, NY is $128,900 - $174,000 and the annual incentive target is 10% of the base salary .
