The RoleWe have an opportunity for a Designer Intern for our Forensics Practice.Designer Interns will work closely with a multi-disciplinary team of staffarchitects andengineers toassist witha variety of tasks for active projects. The internship will run from January 2025 through April 2025, with flexible start and end dates.While project work can vary greatly from day to day, typical tasks may include the following:On-site survey, investigation, and documentation of building conditions, includingfaade, roof, interiors, structural andothermechanical/fire protection systems.Assist in preparing field notes.Assistarchitectural orengineeringteaminpreparingtechnical and investigative reports to support forensics findings and prepare materials related to presentations.Review and research applicable building codes,ADAstandards,and all other applicable industry standards,etc.Assistthearchitecturalteamwith thepreparation of drawings and specifications, and construction administration services.Students should be familiar and comfortable with Microsoft Suite programs (i.e.Word, Excel,PowerPoint) and CAD programs (i.e.AutoCAD). Familiarity with any of the following programs is a plus, but is not required: Revit,Rhino, and Bluebeam.CompensationThe rate for this position generally is$25-$31hourly.This range is a good faith estimate provided pursuant to the New York Pay Transparency Law.
