820 Residential Treatment Services - Occupational TherapistSubstance Use and Treatment Program- Third Street, 8 East 3rd St, New York, New York, United States of America Req #1241 Tuesday, September 17, 2024Title:Occupational Therapist - 820 Program Location:8 East 3rd Street, NY, NY Salary:$81,000 Program Overview:The Program is an OASAS part 820 that provides residential stabilization and rehabilitation services. Consumers receive medical and psychiatric services from RN’s, LPN’s, psychiatrist and medical doctor. Consumers also receive Occupational Therapy services aimed at helping them to develop the skills they need to function at their highest level of independence in a safe and dignified manner. Position Overview:The Occupational Therapist, under the guidance of the Senior Occupational Therapist of the 820 and the Senior Director of Substance Use Services, will be responsible for developing and implementing a robust Occupational Therapy program within the 820. Essential Duties & Responsibilities:

Conducting functional assessments on all identified clients

Treatment planning and providing on-going Occupational Therapy interventions for identified clients

Developing and facilitating functional skills and activities groups for The Rehab.

Supervising Occupational Therapy Interns

Consulting with other clinical staff to develop multidisciplinary clinical interventions

Participating in scheduled clinical team and administrative meetings, case presentations, and rounds.

Participating in scheduled in-service trainings

Record keeping, including chart documentation and maintenance of charts

Participating in Quality Assurance activities and projects

Participating in weekly supervision with supervisor(s)

Participating in ongoing clinical education seminars and other professional development activities]

Qualifications:

Master’s degree in Occupational Therapy

Valid NYS licensure in OT.

Experience working with PWUD in community-based behavioral health settings is preferred, but not mandatory.

All newly hired Project Renewal staff must provide verification of being fully vaccinated against Covid-19.
