Job DescriptionSenior Occupational Therapist – Inpatient An enticing opportunity awaits you at MSK. We are seeking a licensed Senior Occupational Therapist to join our outstanding team of rehabilitation professionals. At MSK, we offer world class training within our rehabilitation service focusing on opportunities to develop innovative, therapeutic programs for a diverse patient population. We are looking for an individual passionate about patient-centered treatment, teamwork, and best practice which results in an exceptional patient experience. Role Overview:

Provide highly skilled occupational therapy services including assessment of functional cognition to adult and pediatric patients in an oncology setting using evidenced-based therapeutic interventions to enhance patient outcomes.

Collaborate with multi-disciplinary team members, including the patient and their family, to ensure the highest level of clinical services are provided and experienced throughout the entire episode of care.

Participate in mentorship, both as mentor and mentee, through various teaching and learning opportunities.

Engage in projects and activities that support and advance institutional and departmental mission and goals.

Key Qualifications:

New York State Licensure as an Occupational Therapist required.

National Board for Certification in Occupational Therapy (NBCOT) required.

Minimum of 3 years clinical practice as a licensed OT required.

Inpatient acute care and/or oncology experience preferred.

Inpatient/Outpatient Pediatric clinical experience and lymphedema clinical experience beneficial.

Core Skills:

Flexible with strong time management/organizational skills

Effective in verbal and written communication including computer skills

Detail and team oriented

Invested in mentorship both in learning and sharing of clinical knowledge

Additional Information:

Location: Main Hospital, 1275 York Ave, in Manhattan, NY.

Schedule: Hours vary between 7:00-7:30pm, including weekends (subject to change)

Reporting to the Supervisor, Occupational Therapy
