Unit DescriptionThis is a remote position with 50% travel. Candidates should reside in northeast or central time zones.The role of the Vice President – Health, Safety & Environment for the Corporate Services segment is to ensure Health, Safety, and Environmental best practice is in place and fully embedded across all elements of service delivery platforms within Sodexo to keep 2500+ employees safe. Ensuring compliance with current health and safety legislation, approved codes of practice and company policies and procedures are engrained in our culture. Focusing on adherence to service excellence and continuous improvement, this critical role drives performance through leading performance indicators. They will work through the extended team partnering with managers to support, establish, and maintain safe systems of work and a safe environment for colleagues and clients.This role will be responsible for a wide variety of accounts in our corporate services business unit that range from highly regulated to unregulated that include IFM facility services and food.The successful candidate will:Thrive in variety and fast paced environments and enjoy working in the field to develop and foster strong relationships with internal and external customers to promote a culture of caring.Provide expertise and leadership to conceptualize, develop, recommend, and implement HSE business processes and programs that ensure alignment with the corporate strategy and motivate the operational leaders and workforce to participate and engage in HSE.Responsibilities:

Provide technical expertise and thought leadership to customers; create synergies and leverage knowledge, personnel, best practices, and resources across the organization. Engage with leadership and stakeholders across Service Operations and Global Operations to drive program effectiveness.

Partner with corporate and site leadership; serve as Subject Matter Expert (SME) regarding interpretation of federal, state, and local EHS regulations.

Lead, develop, and manage local EHS champions and EHS managers and directors.

Design, implement, and continuously improve segment HSE strategy consistent with industry best practices, defining short- and long-term objectives and tactical plans to reach goals.

Maintains current knowledge on existing and pending legislation relating to environmental, occupational health and injury and ensures that program design reflects the most recent standards and regulations; recommends enhancements or modifications as required. Provide insight to clients on pending and existing legislation.

Evaluates workplace environments, equipment, or practices to ensure compliance with safety standards, public health legislation, and government regulations, e.g., proper ventilation, exhaust equipment, lighting, or other conditions.

Act as a key collaborator with Service Operations, Legal, Facilities, Human Resources, Risk Management, Finance, etc. on related protocols and programs.

We are looking for candidates who have:

Proven HSE senior leadership experience building and implementing facility maintenance HSE programs in progressively more senior roles within a large, complex, matrixed organization .

Field services experience working with a distributed, dispersed network, preferably in a highly regulated industry.

Proven experience exercising sound judgement to digest large volume of ambiguous information from global and regional sources to reframe/consolidate and build the vision and program strategy including detailed implementation plan.

Ability to be nimble, curious, and able to prioritize work in the field.

Ability to tackle tough issues with tact and diplomacy in a timely fashion.

Proven ability to act as change agent through interactions with others.

Strong leadership, talent management, change execution, and financial management skills.

Good understanding of current technology to build dashboards and metrics.

Project Management and Six Sigma certification a plus to be an active program sponsor.
