GENERAL PURPOSE:Serves as principal assistant to the SMH Chief Quality Officer (CQO), and the Chief Healthcare Safety Office (CHSO), managing their time and calendars. Attends meetings, taking minutes and preparing presentations as needed. Plans and makes all administrative arrangements for meetings (meeting facilities, equipment, meals). Other duties as assigned.RESPONSIBILITIES:
Manages the time and calendar of the CQO and CHSO, choosing or recommending among competing demands on time, referring matters to be handled by others, controlling access.
Anticipates the needs from and obtains background material for decisions and conferences.
Handles all coordination of paperwork for CME, CNE, and other continuing education for Grand Rounds and hospital wide meetings.
Manages database for malpractice differential program, including attending courses, run reports, and updating database.
Attends meetings, takes minutes, and prepares presentations as needed.
Serves as a liaison for The Joint Commission, including preparing selected paperwork and to be a point of contact.
Plans and makes all administrative arrangements for meetings such as the Medical Executive Committee and education presentations, including meeting facilities, equipment, and meals.
Other duties as assigned.QUALIFICATIONS:
College degree or an equivalent combination of experience and training required.
1 year of relevant administrative experience required.
Strong communication and interpersonal skills required.
Ability to maintain confidentiality required.
