If this description speaks to you, continue reading about the opportunity of Chief Financial Officer. This is a full-time 40 hours per week position on the Executive Team at St. John’s Home. Position Summary: The Chief Financial Officer (CFO) is responsible for all financial and administrative functions as assigned by the President/CEO and Board of Directors. Responsibilities include:
Accountable for financial operations of the Corporation as detailed in the By-Laws.
Direct and coordinate financial planning and budget management functions. Monitor and analyze monthly operating results against budget. Manage the preparation of all financial results, financial outlooks and forecasts. Ensure compliance with local, state, federal, HUD and bank reporting requirements. Works with organization to develop short and long term business plans.
Responsible for oversight of risk management activities including claims support functions and coordination of activities with other related operational resources in order to achieve goals and priorities.
Maintain bank relations and appropriate cash flow/treasury functions.
Manage relationships and with strategic business partners.
Responsible for the maintenance of the following: accurate records, controls and safeguards of all income, expenses, assets and liabilities of the Corporation; for the safekeeping of all funds and securities of the Corporation; and for the preparation of all budgets of the Corporation.
At regular meetings of the Board, shall furnish the Board with complete and detailed reports regarding the budget, financial operations and other related matters, represented to be correct and fairly reflecting the financial condition of the Corporation. Shall annually present to the Board of Directors a detailed statement showing the status of the investment portfolios.
Prepares the financial statements of the Corporation audited annually by the certified public accountant or firm selected and approved by the Board. The report of the certified public accountants on the financial statements of the Corporation shall be presented to the Board of Directors.
All reports required by law or regulation to be executed by the "Treasurer" shall be executed by the Vice President/Finance.
Work with the leadership team to develop/improve the organization’s business model: provide financial analysis for key business issues; work with operations to identify key business processes/initiatives and their impact on bottom line results; manage a forward thinking process that reflects both risks and the impact of improvements.
Serve on Foundation Committee. Provide summary level financial status with any business issues and potential impact on donor perception identified.

Maintain relationships internally and externally as required (ex. banks, regulators, outside auditors, HUD, DOH).
Qualifications:
A Master’s degree in Finance, Accounting or Business Administration or Certified Public Accountant (CPA) required.
Extensive knowledge of finance, accounting, budgeting and cost control procedures.
Ability to analyze financial data, prepare financial statements and projections.
Understand risk management and related claims.
Ability to contribute to the profitability of the business entity with an understanding of the core business drivers and relationship between business needs and technology strategies.
Contract negotiation experience required.
Proven leadership track record for establishing financial controls and accountabilities.
Experience with tax exempt entities preferred.
Track record of strategic planning and implementation.
Experience in leadership of a fiscal operation. Experience in environments that have undergone transformation of business and/or operational culture preferred.
