Description We are offering a long-term contract employment opportunity for an Employee Support Center Specialist I (Tier II) in Rochester, New York. This role is within the Payroll Services industry and will be situated in our office environment. As an Employee Support Center Specialist, you will provide first line support and respond to inquiries to ensure quality service to the employees.Responsibilities: Respond to data inquiries and requests for assistance via phone, email, and other communication channels. Approve and process Position Rate Change forms to maintain alignment with salary administrative policies. Enter new staff members and employee changes into multiple systems, including Oracle, for accurate payroll processing. Administer and track the onboarding process to ensure all necessary documentation is completed and received. Provide assistance with the administrative aspects of HR, including the administration of employee programs. Utilize HR system and reporting tools to generate reports as needed or on a defined schedule. Support the administration of various programs and processes such as Time Off, BeneTrac administration, Handbook acknowledgement, relocation, and service awards to ensure quality and compliance. Perform other duties as assigned to support the general purpose of the position function. Requirements Proficiency in Customer Service, demonstrating the ability to engage with clients in a detail oriented and respectful manner. Ability to create and manage Documentation, ensuring all necessary records are accurately maintained. Understanding of Compliance regulations and standards within the Payroll Services industry. Experience in Human Resources (HR) Administration, including handling HR-related queries and issues. Familiarity with 'About Time' software, used for managing employee hours and schedules. Knowledge of Payroll Functions, including processing paychecks, managing deductions, and handling tax-related matters. Strong Communication Skills, both written and verbal, to effectively liaise with team members and clients. Experience with Oracle software, used for database management and reporting. Understanding of Salary Structures, and the ability to accurately calculate and distribute employee wages. Ability to Ensure Quality in all tasks, maintaining high standards to ensure client satisfaction. Experience with HR System management, including HRIS and HRMS. Knowledge of Paychex Payroll, a common platform used for handling payroll functions. Proficiency in using Reporting Tools to generate reports and provide insights. Familiarity with Paychex software, used for payroll, HR, and benefits administration. Understanding of Administrative Policy, including the ability to interpret and apply them accurately. Experience handling Employee Changes, such as new hires, terminations, and transfers. Ability to process Change Forms, ensuring all necessary paperwork is completed for employee changes.
