Summary Purpose for the PositionWorks closely with field staff and with the Placement Career Services Dev, Regional Administrator, and Adult Ed Instructor in the placement into unsubsidized employment, On-The-Job Training (OJT), and Work Experience (WeX) opportunities. The employer engagement coordinator plays a crucial role in connecting employers with training programs offered by PathStone Corporation’s training & employment programs. This position focuses on building strong relationships with local area employers and organizations to create ongoing placement opportunities for targeted groups including farm workers, reentry participants, and other individuals seeking employment.Requirements (Education, Experience, Certification, Knowledge, Skill)Strong verbal and written communicationProven track record of relationship buildingOrganization skills/ability to multi-task, prioritize, and meet deadlinesKnowledge of workforce development programs Position ResponsibilitiesEngagement with employer partners including developing and maintaining relationships with local employers, businesses, and organizations. Identify employment needs for local employers and communicate those needs back to program staff to encourage related trainings.Create a network of employers to facilitate easier access to a broader pool of potential candidates and allow employers to share industry trends and innovative solutions to common challengesCoordination for regular employer forum and/or career pathway collaborativeWork collaboratively with workforce development programs and staff to understand program needsFacilitate communication between employers and training providersCoordinate joint training in conjunction with office staffLead employer related events including job fairs, mock interviews, etc.Assist, support, encourage, and motivate job seekers throughout the training & employment processProvide guidance on available training options and employment pathways Working Conditions/EnvironmentRequired to work indoors and outdoors, with the possible exposure to individuals at a high risk of being infected with serious illness.
