Description We are offering a contract to permanent employment opportunity for a Customer Service Representative in Charlotte, North Carolina. In this role, you will be primarily responsible for managing customer inquiries, processing customer applications, maintaining customer records, and ensuring the accuracy of customer accounts. This role is situated in the industry of customer service and requires a high level of organization and attention to detail.Responsibilities: Efficiently process customer credit applications using multiple software programs such as Microsoft Office products and Siemens TMS. Maintain accurate customer credit records and monitor order and inventory status using SAP. Communicate effectively with vendors and customers to ensure accurate and timely order fulfillment. Track shipments and delivery dates to ensure on-time deliveries. Ensure the proper packaging and labeling of hazardous materials, maintain Safety Data Sheets (SDS), and complete all multimodal dangerous goods forms accurately. Address and log customer complaints related to crating, ensuring clear communication with the picking-packing team. Update and maintain storage location logs for crating, track final shipping dates, and ensure Bill of Lading (BOL) information is entered into SAP. Perform material transfers for crating inventory. Support crating operations by preparing quotes and processing invoices for special crates as requested. Coordinate with shipping specialist to ensure completion of all tasks for all materials needing to ship. Provide all necessary information to carriers and forwarders for shipments. Correspond with customers, carriers, forwarders via email and phone to ensure timely shipping of materials. Update customers with tracking details and resolve any shipping-related issues. Requirements Possess strong skills in handling and directing inbound and outbound calls Demonstrated proficiency in customer service, particularly in a call center environment Ability to perform data entry tasks with high accuracy Experienced in managing email correspondence professionally and efficiently Proficient in Microsoft Excel and Microsoft Word Capable of performing order entry tasks in a timely and accurate manner Skilled in scheduling appointments and managing calendars Must have a customer-focused approach and the ability to handle customer inquiries effectively Excellent verbal and written communication skills Ability to work in a team and contribute to achieving team goals Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to handle challenging customer situations High level of attention to detail and organizational skills Ability to multitask and manage time effectively Willingness to learn and adapt to new technologies and processes Robert Half is the world’s first and largest specialized talent solutions firm that connects highly qualified job seekers to opportunities at great companies.
