Customer Service Representative

Description We are offering a contract to hire employment opportunity for a Customer Service Representative to join our team in the Wholesale Distribution industry in Charlotte, North Carolina, 28213, United States. As a Customer Service Representative, you will be handling multiple responsibilities including interacting with our builders and customers, managing sales orders for service and installation, scheduling services and installations, and updating orders in Service Works. Responsibilities: Interact with builders and customers, creating sales orders for service and installation. Schedule services and installations as per customer requirements. Regularly update orders into Service Works. Efficiently answer and screen telephone calls, directing them to the appropriate person and resolving calls related to orders or quotes. Perform order entry for small to medium accounts. Respond promptly to customer requests for information concerning order tracking, order expediting, and product availability for residential orders. Inform customers about potential backorders, credit issues, order availability, and other order-related information. Troubleshoot and follow up on customer inquiries. Process all necessary paperwork for the daily operations as required, including dealing with warranty issues. Receive and process credit card payments and transactions. Assist with inventory controls including cycle counts, daily review of inventory levels, scrap processing, and loss prevention. Assist in unloading and loading vendor and customer vehicles. Monitor the completion of daily customer shipments. Perform other duties as assigned.Requirements Proficiency in responding to inbound calls with utmost detail orientation and courtesy. Demonstrable experience in a call center customer service setting. Excellent customer service skills and a customer-centric approach. Accurate data entry skills with keen attention to detail. Ability to handle email correspondence in a timely and detail oriented manner. Experience in making both inbound and outbound calls as per business requirements. Proficiency in using Microsoft Excel for data management and analysis. Ability to create, edit and manage documents in Microsoft Word. Experience with order entry in a fast-paced wholesale distribution environment. Capable of scheduling appointments effectively, ensuring seamless operations. Experience in generating and managing customer invoices. Ability to prepare precise and accurate customer quotes as per the company's pricing policy.
