The determination of this range includes various factors not limited to skill set, level, experience, relevant training, and licensure and certifications. Compensation decisions are dependent on the facts and circumstances of each case. Maintain and improve a robust faculty compensation tracking and management database which combines recent and historical data from various sources from faculty affairs, finance, research administration, facilities, external benchmarking data, and other sources. Manage a robust online reporting and tracking system, and work with departments to annually analyze faculty compensation based on departmental metric plans and SOM guidelines to match compensation against national benchmarks, internal metrics, and relevant performance measures. (20%) Apply business planning techniques and approaches to planning for potential initiatives and business opportunities, including market analysis and assessing the revenue potential. These opportunities span educational, research, and commercial ventures. Work closely with the Director for Strategic Business Initiatives to ensure plans are consistent with SOM strategic approaches and planning.
