Poppi's Anatolia one of Eugene's longest standing restaurants is looking for an assistant kitchen manager/sous chef. We are a small and busy mediterranean restaurant in downtown Eugene. Our crew is small but mighty and looking for a new addition to the team!
What you will be responsible for:
- Assisting with management of kitchen staff; ensuring proper techniques are deployed, food temperatures are observed, quality and plating is always to the highest level.
-Scheduling and ensuring proper training
-Inventory management
- Assisting in ordering and observing food costs
-Menu development, creating specials
-Working closely with the owner to retain the quality and direction we have kept since opening
-Leading, directing, and teaching cooks to be the best they can be on the line
-Enforce cleaning schedules between all BOH staff
- Assisting in maintain kitchen equipment to properly work well on regular basis
Position requires at least three years of experience.
