Wayne County Area Agency on Aging has an exciting opportunity for an individual who is patient, compassionate, and organized. This includes carrying out specialized tasks such as protective services, care transitions, and person-centered counseling. In this position, you will be responsible for managing a caseload of consumers and providing assistance in various areas as required. Additionally, you may need to coordinate services with physicians, community agencies, financial institutions, and other relevant stakeholders on a regular basis.Our ideal candidate must have the ability to handle multiple tasks and pay close attention to detail, specifically when completing paperwork, work assignments, and meeting deadlines.Work Schedule and Additional Information:
Full-time employment
Work hours are 8:00 AM to 4:30 PM, Monday - Friday, with a 60-minute lunch.
On-call hours and overnight travel may be required.
Salary:In some cases, the starting salary may be non-negotiable.

REQUIRED EXPERIENCE, TRAINING & ELIGIBILITYQUALIFICATIONS
Minimum Experience and Training Requirements:
Three years as an Aging Case Aide 2; or
A bachelor's degree which includes or is supplemented by twelve (12) credits in social sciences, behavioral sciences, human services, or a closely related field; or
An equivalent combination of experience and training.
Applicants will be considered to have met the educational requirements once they are within 3 months of graduating with a qualifying degree.Other Requirements:

Hiring preference for this vacancy may be given to candidates who live within Lackawanna, Monroe, Pike, Susquehanna, or Wayne counties. If no eligible candidates who live within these counties apply for this position, candidates who reside in other counties may be considered.
