Description Robert Half is seeking an ambitious and experienced Accounting Supervisor for an immediate opening at a dynamic, innovative Manufacturing company. In this role, you will be responsible for leading daily accounting operations, including preparing and/or reviewing appropriate ledger entries and reconciliations, maintaining the general ledger system, preparing monthly, quarterly and annual financial statements, assisting with regulatory reporting as applicable, and related duties. An integral part of this position is establishing and scaling company accounting and finance operations. Contribute to the preparation of GAAP financial statements, which includes document preparation, data analysis, integrity validation, and reconciliation processes
Possessing a thorough knowledge of enterprise resource planning (ERP) systems is valuable
Review and analyze balance sheets and income statement accounts
Prepare a variety of technical accounting analyses, policies, and procedures
Lead and encourage the full accounting team performance during the closing process to ensure deadlines are met
Work alongside the Plant Controller to deliver relevant and timely reporting of financial data analytics like the monthly flash report, key financial metrics, and actual spend against budgets/outlook
Requirements
Customer service oriented communication skills that allow for pleasant and beneficial interactions with all customers
3+ years of recent relevant financial experience ideally in a manufacturing environment
Ability to recognize, evaluate, and resolve problems effectively
Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, Business or equivalent degree and/or experience
Working knowledge of enterprise resource planning (ERP) systems is valuable
Supervisory management experience highly preferred
Deep understanding of budget forecasting
Adeptness in Accounts Payable (AP)
Comprehensive knowledge of SAP
Month end closings experience required
Background working with supervising
Capital assets experience highly desired
Practical knowledge of general ledger
Fixed assets experience
General familiarity with General Accounting
Demonstrated technology and analytical abilities
