We specialize in both residential and commercial projects, fostering a collaborative and supportive work environment. As we continue to grow, we are looking for a dedicated Structural Engineer (PE or EIT) to join us on a per-project contract basis. Hybrid work arrangements are possible, based on your ability to work independently.
Role Description:
As a Project Engineer at Higgins Designs, you will collaborate closely with our Principal Structural Engineer/founder to produce precise and comprehensive drawings. This role offers a unique opportunity to work directly with industry experts and gain invaluable mentorship. You will be instrumental in developing construction drawings for various projects, contributing to our firm’s continued success and growth.
Ideal Candidate:
The ideal candidate will demonstrate a strong passion for structural engineering and a desire to enhance their expertise. While experience is beneficial, we are eager to mentor individuals who exhibit exceptional potential. Key qualifications include:
Proficiency in AutoCAD (required), with familiarity in Bluebeam (preferred)
Exceptional organizational skills and attention to detail
Effective communication and interpersonal abilities
Strong visualization skills and intuitive problem-solving capabilities
Adaptability and the ability to perform under pressure
A robust understanding of residential and commercial construction practices
