Description We are in search of an Accounts Receivable Specialist to join our team in the manufacturing industry based in Austin, Texas. In this role, you will interact with customers and business managers on a daily basis, with the goal of optimizing sales while mitigating risk, improving cash flow, and reducing receivables. This employment opportunity offers a short-term contract.Responsibilities: Foster positive working relationships and communication within all departments across the organization. Exhibit sound judgement when working with customers and business managers to maintain payment plans, release orders on credit hold, and resolve customer disputes. Analyze customer performance to ascertain ability to pay balance on time. Collaborate closely with business managers to understand individual customer needs and requirements. Manage customer accounts to ensure DSO and collection balances are maintained at an acceptable level. Review customer credit limits and release orders within parameters of Delegation of Authority. Recommend credit limits and credit terms for current customers based on sales, forecast, and payment history. Work with the tax department to resolve customer tax issues. Enter invoices into customer portals as needed. Generate aging reports, statements and invoice copies to customers as needed. Contact customers concerning delinquent accounts and maintain collection notes on delinquent invoices. Requirements Proficiency in Microsoft Excel is mandatory Prior experience in Accounts Receivable (AR) is essential Familiarity with B2B collections is required Strong skills in Billing are necessary Experience in Cash Applications is a must Proficiency in Data Entry is expected Knowledge of manufacturing industry standards and regulations is desired Ability to work in a team and independently is necessary Strong communication and interpersonal skills are required Attention to detail and accuracy in work is expected Ability to handle multiple tasks and prioritize effectively is necessary Problem-solving and analytical skills are required A degree in Finance, Accounting, or a related field is preferred.
