Personal Assistant/Secretary ā $16/hr ā Part time 10-20 hrs/week
Looking for a detail oriented, organized, upbeat assistant to help me at my home office for a few hours each week. Schedule could be flexible, but I'm thinking approximately 10-20 hours each week, probably closer to 10 to start until you learn more of the work, then we could reevaluate.
I own and manage a modern comic book publishing company, which I run out of my home office. The comics that I publish are mature in nature so please be aware that you will see some very risque art. If that is a dealbreaker for you, please do not apply as there is no way for you to do the work without sometimes viewing the art.
Tasks may vary from day to day but below is a general overview of possible tasks:
Check P.O. box
Schedule calendar appointments
Send out newsletters
Check and answer emails
Create and update Excel documents
Light admin tasks (organizing/filing, follow-ups, reminders)
Coordinate food pick-up/delivery when needed
Downloading files and Uploading to Dropbox
Social media posting

#1 and most important: RELIABILITY AND COMMUNICATION - show up when you say you will or let me know if something comes up. I will not put up with no-call/no-shows.

I care less about experience than attitude and reliability, and I'm happy to train you, but some experience would be a plus. Please have at least basic working knowledge of computers (turn on/off, Google/ChatGPT search, email, etc.) and ideally, you will be comfortable posting on social media, updating spreadsheets, and even basic website editing, would be a huge help, but not a dealbreaker if you don't have experience with that.
