Description We are looking for an Accounts Payable Specialist to join our team in Dallas, Texas. This role offers a contract to permanent employment opportunity within the service industry. The Accounts Payable Specialist will be tasked with the accurate processing of invoices, maintaining customer records, and ensuring timely payments. Responsibilities: Efficiently process customer credit applications. Accurately maintain customer credit records. Monitor customer accounts and take appropriate action when necessary. Enter invoices into the accounting system with precision. Prepare and process electronic payments. Perform regular check runs. Reconcile accounts payable transactions. Ensure all payments are up to date. Audit and verify travel and entertainment expense reports for compliance with firm policies. Process and reconcile credit card statements. Use accounting software systems and enterprise resource planning tools effectively. Conduct regular account reconciliation and cash reconciliations. Perform three-way matching for invoice coding and entry. Requirements Proficiency in Account Coding and Accrual Accounting. Practical experience with Accounting Software Systems and Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP). Familiarity with ADP - Financial Services and Concur. Understanding of various Accounting Functions, particularly Accounts Payable (AP). Knowledge of Auditing and Automated Clearing House (ACH) procedures. Experience in handling Approved Invoices, Code Invoices, and Enter Invoices. Ability to accurately perform Invoice Coding and Invoice Entry. Knowledge of 3 Way Matching, Audit, and Account Reconciliation procedures. Experience in performing Bank Reconciliations and Cash Reconciliations. Skilled in Credit Card Reconciliation. Previous experience in a similar role within the Service industry is desirable.
