Accounts Payable Specialist

Description We are looking for an experienced and reliable Accounts Payable (AP) Specialist to assist with managing and processing our company’s accounts payable. This part-time role requires attention to detail, proficiency with church software (ACS), and the ability to handle a variety of AP tasks efficiently. You will be responsible for processing invoices, handling American Express transactions, and performing basic data entry tasks.Key Responsibilities:

Process and manage approximately 25 invoices per week in a timely and accurate manner.

Review and reconcile accounts to ensure accuracy of transactions and accounts payable balances.

Maintain an organized record of invoices, ensuring proper filing and documentation for audit purposes.

Excel Proficiency: Perform basic data entry and assist in tracking AP-related data using Excel.

Assist with additional tasks as needed, especially during light workweeks, such as general office support or other administrative duties.

Requirements

Qualifications:

Proven experience in Accounts Payable and a solid understanding of AP processes.

Familiarity with ACS Church Software is highly preferred; experience with similar accounting software is a plus.

Basic proficiency in Excel for data entry and record keeping.

Strong attention to detail and ability to handle high-volume transactions.

Excellent organizational skills and the ability to prioritize tasks efficiently.

Ability to work independently and collaborate effectively with a small team.

Flexible and adaptable, with a willingness to assist with other tasks during slower periods.
