So do we…As a Merchants Metals Inside Sales Representative, you will enjoy prospecting, developing and maintaining accounts with fencing clients - new and existing. You will promote and generate sales of fence materials from an inside sales environment while providing superior customer service.Job Summary/Duties
This position is responsible for receiving and processing requests directly from Customers and Outside Sales Personnel (via, service counter, e-mail, phone and fax)
Sustain a working technical knowledge of all available Merchants Metals products, generate price quotations in a timely manner
Proactively contact customer and prospects with the goal of supporting sales and customer satisfaction
Coordinates delivery and pick-up of customer orders
Assist customer with product questions, quotes, ordering, order tracking, complaints and issues with a sense of urgency
Requirements
Minimum of 2 years of proven inside sales experience required
Experience in the fencing, building materials or construction materials in wholesale distribution
Track record of over-achieving quota
Strong phone presence and experience dialing dozens of calls per day
Experience working with Salesforce.com or similar CRM
Excellent verbal and written communication skills
Strong listening and presentation skills
Ability to multi-task, prioritize, and manage time effectively
Basic math, organizational, and problem solving skills
Bachelors Degree or equivalent
