We are more than a transportation company. Forward is a single resource for your shipping needs. Position: Ocean Pricing Supervisor Core Responsibilities & Duties:

Analyzing and monitoring ocean freight pricing data and market trends

Compiling rates for bids, daily quotes and customer tariff updates

Conducting competitive analysis to determine pricing competitiveness

Preparing and reviewing pricing proposals for various shipping services

Assessing cost structures and profit margins to optimize pricing strategies

Keeping abreast of industry regulations and trade dynamics that may impact pricing

Generating reports and providing recommendations to senior management based on pricing analysis

Ensuring accurate and up-to-date pricing information is maintained in company systems

Supporting pricing negotiations and contracts with carriers and customers

Collecting origin and destination charges to finalize bids

Expertise in bid pricing, contract negotiation, and process improvement

Generate reports and analysis for reporting to senior management

Assist sales with creative service offerings and draw in additional services beyond the request

Other duties as assigned

Job Requirements & Qualifications:

Individual must have 5+ years of experience in a customer service, operations, pricing

Proficient with a comprehensive understanding of Microsoft Office applications and ability to learn company’s systems

Cargo wise experience a plus

Strong analytical and organization skills

Expertise in ocean freight pricing and competitive analysis

Strong communication skills both verbal and written

Proficiency in Excel spreadsheets

Ability to identify and resolve problems in a timely manner

Knowledge of industry regulations and trade dynamics
