Description Robert Half has partnered with an esteemed organization to find a Staff Accountant to join their dynamic team. In this position, the Staff Accountant prepares journal entries, monthly and year-end closings, bank reconciliation, fixed asset maintenance, and general ledger reconciliation. You'll be responsible for many aspects of internal reporting during the monthly close. You'll also be participating in compliance, reviewing schedules for the reporting processes, and staying connected with our external auditors for quarterly reviews and annual audits. This position involves a good deal of time spent on producing Financial Statements, Cash Flow projections, and Budgets. Based in the Dallas, Texas area.What you get to do every day
Take part the in implementation and adherence to internal controls and accounting procedures, ensuring compliance with GAAP
Complete month end close, journal entries, without supervision
Carry out fixed asset ledger, depreciation, and reconciliation
Manage the design and creation of balance sheet analysis and communicate reports to management
Analyze and coordinate a variety of financial data, and report it in a useful and understandable manner
Take part in various department-wide initiatives
Manage capital lease and monthly payment schedules
Ad-hoc reporting and special projects, as needed
Partake in annual closing processes
Be responsible for account reconciliations including prepaid expenses, payroll, and other assignments.
Requirements - General familiarity with journal entries
Sage Intacct experience desired
Good understanding of data entry
Wide ranging experience with Month-end Journal Entries
Proven knowledge of Accounts Receivable (AR)
Quality experience with Ledger Journal Entries
Practical knowledge of Journal Entry Preparation
Earlier work involving Budget allocations
Well-founded grasp of Accounts receivables systems
Previous experience working with Accounting cycle
VLOOKUP experience
Pivot Table experience
Skills in Accounting procedures
Knowledge of Excel Formulas
Strong familiarity with Microsoft Excel
Spreadsheet and database capabilities
Strong analytical skills, accuracy and attention to detail
Ability to meet deadlines
BA/BS or equivalent in Accounting, Finance or Economics
Takes action on items beyond formal job responsibilities
Ability to thrive in a dynamic, high pressure environment, to prioritize deals and adapt to quick changes while remaining diligent
Fully formed organizational, written and verbal communication skills
Proficient with spreadsheets and databases
Recent and relevant accounting experience
Observant, accurate and able to thrive in a fast-paced environment
Current and relevant ERP system experience
