As a Senior Accounting Manager, you will play a pivotal role in shaping our financial success and contribute to our mission of delivering top-quality products to our customers.Key Responsibilities:
Financial Leadership: Lead and mentor a team of skilled accountants, providing guidance and expertise in all aspects of retail accounting.
Financial Reporting: Oversee the preparation of accurate and timely financial statements, ensuring compliance with GAAP and company policies.
Budget Management: Collaborate with senior leadership to develop and manage the annual budget, providing strategic insights to drive profitability.
Audit and Compliance: Manage the audit process, ensuring all financial records and transactions are in accordance with regulatory requirements.
Process Improvement: Continuously evaluate and enhance accounting processes to streamline operations and improve efficiency.
Inventory Management: Monitor inventory levels, implement controls, and optimize inventory turnover to maximize profitability.
Vendor Relations: Build and maintain strong relationships with vendors, negotiating favorable terms and ensuring timely payments.
Cash Flow Management: Analyze cash flow forecasts and manage working capital to support business growth.
Financial Analysis: Conduct in-depth financial analysis to identify trends, opportunities, and risks, presenting findings to senior management.
Tax Compliance: Work closely with tax advisors to ensure compliance with all tax regulations and implement tax-saving strategies.
Requirements
CPA or MBA preferred
Excellent verbal and written communication skills with a customer service mindset
Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, Business or equivalent degree and/or experience
Demonstrated technology and analytical abilities
Retail experience
Fixed Asset Accounting experience preferred
Cash reconciliations experience preferred
Well-founded grasp of SAP Financials
Proven knowledge of Big Box Retail
Strong familiarity with Inventory Reconciliation
Credit Card Reconciliation experience
5+ years of recent relevant financial experience
Creative problem solver who anticipates risks and opportunities and maintains a vision for continuous improvement
