Description Robert Half is working with a local distribution organization on a search for a Shared Services Manager position. Working under the direction of the Assistant Controller, the Shared Services Manager leads, coaches, and coordinates the activities of the Shared Services team to ensure compliance, quality, efficiency and accuracy of information, data, and system reporting. The incumbent should be a highly motivated self-starter with supervisory, review, and proofing experience. This position works on major assignments when such assignments arise. Forecast activity, plan work, and ensure resources are available to meet SLAs Continuously develop the Shared Services team through intentional ongoing coaching, training, goal setting and performance management. Complete management functions to ensure detailed records and files are kept as required. Acts as a liaison to corporate and division personnel to resolve complex accounting issues or assist with requests. Support month end closing process through auditing and reconciliation. Makes and implements recommendations to improve processes and internal controls, including documentation and training. Perform user acceptance testing for system issues and enhancements as needed. Support internal and external audit as needed. Perform additional duties as requested by management.Education and/or Work Experience Requirements: Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting or Finance 5 or more years of experience in the areas of reconciliations, accounts payable, and accounts receivable, or the equivalent 5 or more years supervisory experience Strong understanding of Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP) Ability to develop and establish financial policies and procedures MS Office – Word, Excel, Outlook, and Power BI Excellent verbal and written communication skills across all levels of the organizationThis growing stable organization offers a competitive compensation package up to $110K, plus Bonus, and benefits.
