Please note that relocation to Hurst, TX is required for the duration of the program.How you can contribute:

Ensure all pertinent information is obtained to allow the identification, categorization, incident handling and triage actions to occur in a time sensitive environment.

Analyze network traffic and various log data and open-source information to determine the threat against the network, recommend appropriate countermeasures, and assess damage.

Assist with accepting, collecting, sorting, ordering, and passing on incoming information for the reported cyber events.

Facilitate and expedite the tracking, handling, and reporting of all security events and computer incidents in accordance with organizational procedures.

Evaluate and perform incident escalation in accordance with organizational guidelines.

Solve complex technical issues.

Work with other team members to ensure an effective and efficient cyber incident management system.

Protect and maintain the privacy of employee information.

QualificationsWhat you can bring:

Currently pursuing a bachelor’s degree in a major such as CS, MIS, or related specialty fields

Strong academic performance preferred.

Knowledge of a scripting language, Python or PowerShell preferred.

  • Summary Incumbent serves as a management and program analyst for an organizational entity of the Federal Aviation Administration (FAA). He/she provides analysis of assigned programs/management functions and identifies actual or potential problem areas, trends, accomplishments, issues, and practices. Responsibilities Incumbent plans and conducts a variety of program/management studies and analyses which involve one or a combination of the following general areas: program planning, execution, and control (i.e., program/system planning and evaluation, program performance measurement); management improvement and control (i.e., quality management, organizational planning and development, staffing utilization, productivity, manpower requirements, work improvement and work methods, work measurement and staffing standards development, records/information management); and business management and control. Develops procedures, systems, and methods on a variety of management functions and activities in one or more of the following areas - organizational planning and development, staffing utilization, productivity, work improvement and work methods, work measurement and staffing standards development, delegation of authority, goals and objectives, business management, financial tracking and/or information management. Plans, schedules and conducts analyses/studies of proposed program plans for accomplishing program activities. Determines from a programmatic perspective the viability, consistency and accuracy of plans and projections and conducts reviews to determine resource levels required to accomplish programs in a sound and efficient manner. Assists with providing supporting rationale on the establishment or clarification of objectives. Ensures that plans are consistent with program guidance.
