Description We are seeking a Director of Fund Accounting/Fund Accounting Manager based in Fort Worth, Texas. This role involves overseeing all aspects of our accounting department, including the preparation and review of financial reports, managing accounting operations, and facilitating the accumulation and consolidation of financial data. This role is critical in ensuring timely and accurate financial statements for our organization and is a very hands-on role preparing financials. The role will be hybrid one day/week in a family-oriented culture that offers great work life balance.Responsibilities: Develop and maintain accounting principles, practices, and procedures to ensure accurate and timely financial statements. Oversee the fund reporting and fair value process for various funds. Manage the operations of the accounting department, including the monthly, quarterly and year-end closing process, accounts payable/accounts receivable, cash receipts and management, general ledger, payroll, and budgeting. Monitor the annual budget and forecasts on a monthly basis. Collaborate with treasury on cash management, calculating cash needs at weekly, monthly, and long-term intervals. Evaluate, implement and streamline policies, procedures, controls and methodologies. Lead research, preparation, and execution of accounting department initiatives such as software and systems implementation or new processes and procedures. Support in research, preparation, and execution of finance department initiatives. Assist with budgeting, compliance, and facilitation of appropriate state and federal filings for the company's non-profit entity. Collaborate with Operations team to support payroll and benefits administration, compliance, and required filings. Work closely with the executive team and founders to ensure efficient and successful firm-wide operations. Perform ad-hoc duties as needed beyond formal job responsibilities.If interested in being considered for this role, please email a resume to Liz Noyes at Robert Half via Linked in.Requirements Minimum of 5 years of experience in a similar role In-depth knowledge of Corporate Accounting practices Proficiency in Private Equity Fund management Experience in Public Accounting Audit -open to public audit candidates with exposure to PE/RE clients Holds a current CPA Designation Familiarity with Fair Value principles Extensive understanding of US GAAP Ability to lead and manage a team effectively Excellent communication and interpersonal skills Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities Proficiency in using accounting software and other relevant computer applications High ethical standards and professionalism, respecting confidentiality of sensitive information Ability to handle multiple tasks and meet deadlines Bachelor's degree in Accounting or related field, Master's degree preferred.Robert Half is the world’s first and largest specialized talent solutions firm that connects highly qualified job seekers to opportunities at great companies.
