Assists in picking and issuing controlled inventory from a central stockroom and is primarily responsible for cycle counting various inventory, comparing to perpetual record to ensure inventory accuracy and integrity, and identifying the source of errors.ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS

Counts and cycles inventory based on predetermined schedule, or as required

Reviews inventory transactions to aid in cycle versus perpetual record comparison

Material Handling

Inputs and audits daily cycle count program

Required to work during all inventories

Must drive fork/lift truck

Picks, issues, replenishes picking locations, and enters inventory transaction records into ERP system

Performs other duties as assigned by Supervisor

EDUCATION & EXPERIENCE

High School Diploma or Equivalent preferred; and at least 6 months related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.

Must be knowledgeable of a computer terminal and proficient in excel spreadsheets

DECISIONMAKING RESPONSIBIITIESApplies standard procedures and adheres to safety protocols. Makes judgment calls on the need for additional counts or recounts of inventory items.QUALIFICATIONS

Ability to add, subtract, multiply, and divide in all units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions, and decimals.

Ability to compute rate, ratio, and percent

Ability to apply commonsense understanding to carry out instructions furnished in written, oral, or diagram form.

Ability to deal with problems involving several concrete variables in standardized situations.

Ability to work with individuals of varying experience, supervisory levels, and job functions to maintain and correct common inventory issues.

Bilingual English/Spanish is a plus.

Experience with Epicor or Vantage ERP systems is a plus.

WORKING CONDITIONSWork is performed in a plant where hazardous or unpleasant conditions arise. Work area is influenced by environmental conditions of hot or cold temperatures. While performing the duties of this job, the employee works near moving mechanical parts, fork lifts, etc. Environment is moderately clean and well-lighted.This is a heavy manufacturing environment with high levels of noise and large heavy equipment. Eye, ear and foot protection are required at all times with specific safety equipment required in areas of the plant.PHYSICAL & MENTAL DEMANDS

Frequently involves standing, simple grasping, pushing and pulling, and lifting 25-30 lbs.

Occasionally involves sitting, walking, bending at the neck, bending at the waist, twisting at the neck, twisting at the waist, power grasping, fine manipulation, reaching above and below the shoulder level, lifting and carrying up to 50 lbs.

The employee constantly is required to use hands to finger, handle, or feel objects, tools, or controls and reach with hands and arms.

The employee is constantly required to sit, stoop, kneel, crouch, or crawl.

Works around equipment and machinery, may be exposed to dust, gas, fumes or chemicals, uses foot controls and is required to use safety equipment as needed.

Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, distance vision, and peripheral vision.
