Description We are currently seeking a courteous, professional, and detail-oriented Medical Office Receptionist to manage front desk duties and perform a variety of administrative tasks. As the first point of contact for patients, you will play a vital role in creating a welcoming and efficient environment.Job Responsibilities:

Patient Reception: Greet patients and visitors in a friendly and professional manner upon arrival. Direct them appropriately within the office.

Appointment Management: Schedule patient appointments, confirm upcoming appointments, and assist with rescheduling or cancellation requests. Manage the waiting room to ensure timely patient flow.

Communication: Answer phone calls, take messages, and provide general information to callers. Relay information to doctors, nurses, and other healthcare staff as necessary.

Record Keeping: Update and maintain patient records and information in the medical office system. Ensure confidentiality and compliance with healthcare privacy laws.

Billing Support: Assist patients with billing inquiries and process payments. Verify insurance details and handle paperwork for insurance claims.

Office Maintenance: Keep the reception area clean, organized, and well-stocked with necessary supplies. Ensure that office equipment is in working order.

Administrative Tasks: Perform general clerical duties, such as photocopying, faxing, mailing, and filing. Assist with the preparation of medical documents and reports.

Requirements

Qualifications:

High school diploma or equivalent; additional certification in Office Management, Medical Administration, or similar field is a plus.

Proven experience as a receptionist, front office representative, or similar role, preferably in a medical or healthcare setting.

Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to interact positively with patients and staff.

Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and experience with medical software systems.

Strong organizational and time-management skills, with the ability to multitask in a fast-paced environment.

Knowledge of medical terminology, procedures, and insurance processes is preferred.
