As the Receiving Clerk, you will play a critical role in facilitating the timely and accurate receipt, documentation, and storage of inbound materials and supplies. Under the guidance of the Supply Chain Program Manager, you will ensure all inbound shipments are properly verified, recorded, and put away. This position requires strong attention to detail, adherence to safety and organizational standards, and effective collaboration with cross-functional teams.You Will:
Manage inbound shipments of materials and supplies, ensuring correctness and timely processing.
Maintain a clean, organized, and safe receiving and warehouse area, meeting 5S standards.
Count and verify inbound shipments, label and mark pallets, boxes, or containers with date and initials.
Put parts away in assigned locations and manage location sizes in the warehouse.
Update part locations and receive purchase orders (POs) in the ERP system.
Conduct a 3-point receiving check (PO Quantity, Shipped Quantity, and Received Quantity).
Verify the accuracy of incoming shipment packing slips, record shipment data, and report damages or discrepancies.
Operate a forklift or other material handling equipment to move shipments and deliver materials to respective departments.
Use the computer daily for emails, internet searches, and to maintain logs of incoming and outgoing packages.
Maintain overflow lists, coordinate carrier pick-ups, generate shipping labels, and track shipments.
Provide support to the shipping team, such as printing ship tickets, picking parts, and prepping outbound shipments.
Collaborate with Purchasing, Finance (A/P), Shipping, Quality, and Production teams to address issues and maintain seamless operations.
You Have:
High school diploma or equivalent.
3+ years of experience in a receiving and warehouse function.
Strong math skills and basic computer proficiency, including Microsoft Excel, Word, PowerPoint, and Outlook.
Experience using ERP systems.
Ability to work well in a team environment.
Capacity to effectively handle physical tasks, including routine lifting and moving of packages.
Ability to interact daily with Purchasing, Finance, Shipping, Quality, and Production teams.
Physical Requirements:While performing the duties of this job, the employee is frequently required to walk, talk, and/or hear. The employee is occasionally required to stand, sit, and use hands to finger, handle, or feel. The employee must occasionally lift and/or move up to 30 pounds. Specific vision abilities required by this job include: close vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception and ability to adjust focus.Work Environment:Work in both office and manufacturing environment.
