Inspired people, amazing designs, and projects with purpose.Job DescriptionAs a Senior Project Coordinator, you will support the project manager with project management duties to monitor the performance of large-scale projects; this support may include budget calculations, scheduling, and reporting. In addition, you will assist the project manager in contract preparation, maintaining work plans, providing quality review of standard agreements, and coordinating project management activities to ensure projects stay on schedule. Other responsibilities include providing logistical support, including arranging meetings, tracking progress, and documenting project-related information.Additional responsibilities may include:

Performs billable support and management duties for large and/or complex projects (typically multimillion-dollar projects).

Independently gathers and produces information that will be included in various project specific activities such as contract preparation, work plans, specifications, and standard agreements.

Assists project manager with project management duties.

Monitors the performance of large and/or complex projects including tasks related to budgeting, scheduling, and information management.

Establishes, communicates, and meets deadlines for timely completion of project activities.

Assists the project manager in using project management tools to monitor and control key performance indicators (KPIs).

Assists the project manager in keeping workload projections current.

Understands the firm’s quality management program and assists the project manager in monitoring project implementation and adherence of quality assurance/quality control (QA/QC) processes and procedures.

Reviews and maintains project documentation for accuracy and completeness.

Communicates with stakeholders and the various parties of each assigned project, providing input for decision-making.

Uses advanced and specialized experience to perform a wide range of complex duties to ensure a high-quality project.

Ensures compliance with established firmwide standards and suggests improvements to procedures.

May train new staff with project-specific developed knowledge and skills.

Olsson currently has an opportunity for a Senior Project Coordinator with our Project Assurance team. We will consider candidates interested in being located near any office within the Olsson footprint. Excellent communication skills

Ability to contribute and work well on a team

Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite products, SmartSheet, and Microsoft Project (or other scheduling software programs)

Experience in a client relationship management database

Knowledge of engineering and design terms, contract requirements, project financials, and operations

Strong attention to detail, logistical support, and organizing skills

Ability to develop and foster effective professional relationships internally and externally

Good interpersonal, problem-solving, and decision-making skills

Expertise in the area of supporting project managers

Minimum 8 years’ experience in administrative role, project coordinator role, or other consulting technical role.

Bachelor’s degree in business or related field is preferred. In lieu of a bachelor’s degree, an associate degree with equivalent experience is required.
