Trauma Department

Work hours: Full-time, Days, 40 hours weekly, Exempt (Salaried)

You'll be responsible for the oversight of the trauma program which includes trauma survey designation readiness, and quality assurance and improvement. You'll work closely with trauma physician program director, prepare and lead bimonthly trauma meeting, work with ED and other leaders to identify trends.Texas Health Harris Methodist Hospital Alliance is a 151-bed, full-service hospital offering acute care and wellness programs to communities in North Fort Worth, Keller, North Richland Hills, Haslet, Justin and surrounding areas. Bachelor's Degree in Nursing, BSN, is required.

Five (5) years of trauma related experience which includes at least three (3) years direct clinical care required.

RN - Registered Nurse license is required upon hire.

BCLS - Basic Cardiac Life Support (prior to providing independent patient care and maintained quarterly) is required.

ATCN - Advanced Trauma Care Nurse is required within sixty (60) days of hired.

TNCC - Trauma Nursing Core Course is required within sixty (60) days of hired.

PALS - Pediatric Advanced Life Support is required within sixty (90) days of hired.

Trauma Outcomes Performance Improvement Course (TOPIC) or Trauma Coordinators Core Course within sixty (60) days of hire is required.

CPI - Crisis Prevention Intervention Training is required within (60) days of hire.

Master's Degree is preferred.

Three (3) years progressive leadership experience is preferred.

Prior trauma program administration experience is preferred.

Excellent verbal and written communication skills including the ability to communicate effectively and professionally across disciplines and with a variety of distinct constituents as well as the ability to articulate complex information in understandable terms.

Excellent interpersonal skills with the ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships across and beyond the organization.

Strong analytical reasoning skills, including the ability to implement projects, and solve complex situations.

Must be able to work in challenging situations, involving competing interests, and interdisciplinary groups.

Clinical and compliance knowledge with Major Trauma Programs.

Proficient computer and Microsoft Office skills.

What You’ll DoOperations

Participate in the development of trauma care systems at the community, State, and/or National levels. Coordinate management across the continuum of trauma care, which includes the planning and implementation of clinical protocols and practice management guidelines, monitoring care of in-hospital patients, and serving as a resource for clinical practice.

Regulatory Compliance

Provides regular reports to leadership regarding trauma program compliance.

Quality and Performance Improvemen t

Create a culture of continuous improvement and accountability ensuring the integration of quality and performance improvement into operations.

Fiscal Management

Operationally responsible for the financial performance including operating and capital budgeting for the trauma program.
