Description Our client located in Downtown Houston, TX is seeking an Accounts Payable Accountant. The Accounts Payable Accountant must have 3+ years full cycle AP experience and general accounting experience. The AP Accountant will be responsible for full cycle AP, Pre-paid, Accruals, month end reconciliations, and cash reconciliations. This is a direct hire opportunity paying up to 70K plus bonus and benefits working 4 days in office and 1 day home.Responsibilities: Manage full cycle Accounts Payable activities Conduct month-end reconciliations Perform cash reconciliations Process and code invoices accurately Oversee pre-paid and accruals Carry out check runs Utilize Microsoft Excel for data entry and invoice processing Handle account reconciliation tasks Execute month-end close activities Manage and resolve account discrepancies.Requirements Minimum of 3 years proven experience as an Accounts Payable Clerk or similar role Proficiency in account reconciliation and accounts payable (AP) procedures Demonstrable ability to handle check runs effectively Experience in coding invoices accurately and efficiently High-level data entry skills with a keen eye for detail Extensive experience in invoice processing Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and other related software Familiarity with month-end close procedures Solid understanding of accruals and their application in accounting Experience in cash reconciliations, with ability to identify and resolve discrepancies.
