Description We are offering a long-term contract employment opportunity for a Sr. Accountant in the oil & gas industry, based in Houston, Texas. This role will primarily involve managing financial audits, creating financial statements, and supervising the month-end close process. Responsibilities: Oversee the month-end closing process to ensure accurate and timely financial reports Manage external financial audits, ensuring all financial information is correct and up-to-date Create comprehensive financial statements for internal and external use Perform account reconciliation tasks to ensure accurate reporting and ledger maintenance Conduct balance sheet reconciliation to ensure account accuracy Execute bank reconciliations as part of regular financial audits Prepare and post journal entries, ensuring accurate recording of transactions Utilize Microsoft Excel for financial analysis and reporting Review and analyze monthly financial statement data Lead financial statement audits, investigating any discrepancies or issues. Requirements Minimum of 5 years of experience in a similar role as a Sr. Accountant Proven expertise in Account Reconciliation Proficiency in Balance Sheet Reconciliation Experience with Bank Reconciliations is mandatory Ability to prepare and analyze Journal Entries Advanced knowledge of Microsoft Excel Proven track record in conducting Month End Close activities Experience in preparing and reviewing Financial Statements Familiarity with Financial Statement Audits Expertise in Financial Statement Preparation Experience in conducting Financial Audits is required Robert Half is the world’s first and largest specialized talent solutions firm that connects highly qualified job seekers to opportunities at great companies.
