Description We are in search of a Sr. Accountant to join our team based in Houston, Texas. The role primarily involves managing account reconciliation, balance sheet reconciliation, bank reconciliations, and general ledger tasks. The Sr. Accountant will also be expected to handle tasks related to journal entries, Microsoft Excel, month end close, NetSuite, Oracle, and SAP.Responsibilities: Implementing and maintaining the general ledger system Facilitating month end close procedures and ensuring accuracy Handling bank reconciliations to maintain financial integrity Providing account reconciliation services to ensure accurate record keeping Balancing sheets through reconciliation processes Assisting with journal entries to record financial transactions Utilizing Microsoft Excel for data entry and financial analysis Leveraging expertise in NetSuite, Oracle, and SAP for financial operations Ensuring accurate and timely compliance with ASC 842Requirements Candidate must have at least 3 years of experience in a senior accounting role. Proficiency in account reconciliation is essential. Experience with balance sheet reconciliation is a must. Must have demonstrated ability to perform bank reconciliations effectively. Comprehensive understanding of the general ledger is required. Must be adept at making journal entries. Proficiency in Microsoft Excel is necessary. Experience with month-end close procedures is required. Knowledge of ASC 842. Familiarity with Oracle financial software is advantageous.
