Help Wanted: Live-In Farm Caretaker Couple
Are you a hardworking couple looking for a unique live-in opportunity? A small farm north of the Houston area is seeking a reliable, detail-oriented couple to serve as caretakers.
This role involves a mix of outdoor maintenance, farm support and harvesting, and indoor housekeeping and some cooking to ensure the property and homes are well-maintained year-round.
About the Role:
As live-in caretakers, you’ll be responsible for maintaining the farm, assisting with seasonal work, and managing household upkeep. This is a hands-on position ideal for a couple who enjoys working together, balancing outdoor and indoor tasks, and taking pride in their contributions.
Responsibilities Include:
Farm & Outdoor Tasks:
General property maintenance, including mowing, minor repairs, and upkeep of outdoor areas.
Assisting with seasonal farm tasks, including planting, harvesting, and basic crop care.
Indoor & Household Tasks:
Keeping shared work and business areas clean and organized.
Cleaning two homes weekly
Lawn Maintenance two homes (equipment provided)
Laundry and general housekeeping for both homes.
1-2 days of Cooking and Meal Prep
Schedule:
In-Season (5-6 Days/Week): Mornings focused on farm tasks and outdoor maintenance; afternoons on household upkeep and indoor work during the Summer.
Off-Season (4 Days/Week): Primarily focused on household cleaning and light property maintenance as well as planting for the spring.
What We’re Looking For:
A hardworking, dependable couple with experience in farm work, maintenance, or housekeeping.
Ability to work as a team and handle both outdoor and indoor responsibilities.
Comfort with a live-in arrangement and flexibility to adjust tasks based on seasonal needs.
Bilingual (English/Spanish) is a plus but not required.
References required and willingness to submit to a background check.
