Position SummaryThe Human Resources Business Partner is responsible for a wide range of functions to support the Human Resources Department. The HR Business Partner will provide proactive HR support to employees, leaders as well as HR team members related to HR initiatives/functions including employee relations, recruiting, onboarding, performance management, compliance, employee communication, rewards and recognition, compensation management and retention. The HR Business Partner acts as liaison between employees and management to answer questions or concerns regarding company policies, practices and regulations.Job Responsibilities
Conducts new employee orientations to ensure employees gain an understanding of required onboarding tasks, payroll timing, benefit plans and enrollment provisions. Counsels employees (and potential employees/applicants) on plan provisions so that employees can make informed benefit selection decisions.
Provides day-to-day performance management guidance to employees and leadership (coaching, counseling, career development, disciplinary action).
Responds to employee relations issues such as employee complaints, harassment allegations, and civil rights complaints. Handles issues timely, documents in a compliant fashion and works towards resolution involving and communicating with HR team members as required.
Partners with HR team members on employee relations discussions, exit interviews, and performance recognition.
Enhances department and organization reputation by accepting ownership for accomplishing new and different requests; exploring opportunities to add value to job accomplishments.
Supports employee engagement initiatives (Employee Activity Committee, InComm Rewards and The Above and Beyond Employee Recognition programs).
Maintains and electronically files employee records (new hires, transfers, terminations, etc.).
Partners with leadership to manage, track and support follow up discussions on employee disciplinary write ups.
Aids in monitoring the annual performance review cycle, communicate and train teams to ensure processes are done in a timely manner (i.e., objective setting, performance reviews, salary review, individual development plans and career-pathing).
May assist the Leave Administrator with administration of leaves of absence, inclusive of personal, medical, FMLA and military in accordance with company policy and employment laws.
Conducts reoccurring meetings with leadership and employees to improve working relationships, build morale, and increase productivity and retention.
Assists HR team with coaching on employee related issues such as performance, professional development, terminations.
Partner with employees and leadership to communicate various Human Resources policies, procedures, laws, standards, and government regulations.
Works with hiring leaders to develop job descriptions and open job requisitions.
Maintains compliance with federal and state regulations concerning employment.
Supports the Trip Reduction Program, carpool parking and partners with Security on parking concerns.
Creates reports, tracks, and analyzes pertinent employment data, making recommendations for program revisions.
Assists employees with requests and questions. Acts as employee champion to pro-actively promote a productive working environment and culture.

Required Qualifications
High School Diploma or equivalent
5+ years of Human Resources background
Must possess the ability to understand business goals and recommend new approaches, policies, and procedures to effect continual improvements in business objectives, productivity and development of HR within the company.
Candidates should be comfortable coaching and mentoring at management level and must enthusiastically interface at all levels of the organization.
Experience with MS Office, Word, Excel, Access, Power Point a must.
Ability to take a hands-on approach and thrive in a position that will be responsible for multiple projects in a growth-oriented environment.
Ability to proactively problem solve and manage projects that require a strong attention to detail.
Top-notch interpersonal skills; ability to display patience, humor, and helpfulness at all times – front line of contact for employee issues.
