Translates users' business requirements into detailed functional designs for configuration, testing and implementation. Applies methodologies, prepares detailed specifications and related documentation.The selected candidate will be part of the Business Applications team under the USAA Chief Accounting Officer. This is a great opportunity for the right candidate to join a team of BA/SMEs, learn the skills to support the various Oracle ERP and EPM applications, and use various reporting tools such as OTBI, BI Publisher and Oracle Fusion Analytics platform.We offer a flexible work environment that requires an individual to be in the office 4 days per week. This position can be based in one of the following locations: San Antonio, TX, Plano, TX, Phoenix, AZ, Charlotte, NC. Relocation assistance is not available for this position.What you'll do:
Gather business requirements and translate into system requirements, build new reports, and enhance existing ones using Oracle Reporting tools.
Learn and master one or more Oracle ERP modules to configure, test and implement changes.
Offer ongoing support to business users to address user queries, system issues, and enhancement requests.
Partner with other BA/SMEs in analyzing, identifying root cause analysis, and providing recommendations for production issue resolution.
Prioritize business rules initiatives, develop testing, implementation, and communication plans for system changes.
Maintain system documentation, and review post implementation documentation for lessons learned and recommend changes.
Ensure compliance with the change control processes and procedures to meet audit guidelines.
Ensure risks associated with business activities are effectively identified, measured, monitored, and controlled in accordance with risk and compliance policies and procedures.
What you have:
Bachelor’s degree: OR 4 years of related experience (in addition to the minimum years of experience required- 8 years total) may be substituted in lieu of degree.
2 years of experience consulting with customers/partners, understanding business needs, and translating needs into requirements and prescribing technology solutions; OR Advanced degree in Information Management, Information Studies, or related field with 2 years of experience consulting with customers/team members, understanding business needs, and translating needs into requirements and prescribing technology solutions.
Developing level of experience applying business rules in technology solutions and strategies.
Developing knowledge of relevant regulatory compliance, industry regulations, risk management practices, and regulatory data sources.
Strong written and verbal communication and interpersonal skills to collaborate with diverse stakeholders.
Attention to detail, and excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.
Ability to work independently and within a team in a fast-changing environment focusing on priorities and constraints.
What sets you apart:
Prior experience with BI and Reporting tools (Oracle BI Publisher, Google Analytics, Tableau, Power BI or similar).
Demonstrated experience with Structured Query Language (SQL) for data analysis.
1-2 years of Banking and/or Insurance, within accounting or finance, crafting financial reporting.
Prior experience with Oracle Fusion ERP or EPM, or any other SaaS ERP.
