Description We are offering a long term contract employment opportunity for a Sr. Accountant to join our team in San Antonio, Texas. This role is primarily within the medical research industry, where you will be responsible for a variety of accounting duties, including project-based work and study reconciliations.Responsibilities: Efficiently process and maintain customer credit applications Ensure accurate customer credit records Resolve customer inquiries and issues Monitor customer accounts and take appropriate action Perform detailed study reconciliations to ensure all patient and trial activity is captured and billed correctly Collaborate with the domestic or international AR Team to ensure sponsor payments are applied correctly Work with the study budget and contracting team to resolve any billing issues with the sponsor Research and resolve any Sponsor inquiries Set up and manage journal entries, bank reconciliations, and credit card reconciliations Utilize Excel for various tasks, including pivot tables and VLOOKUP's Ensure all deadlines are met and year-end closings are completed accurately. Requirements Proficiency in Account Reconciliation, Balance Sheet Reconciliation, and Bank Reconciliations Skilled in maintaining and managing the General Ledger Proficient in creating and recording Journal Entries Excellent knowledge of Microsoft Excel Ability to handle Month End Close processes efficiently Familiarity with NetSuite and Oracle software Ability to adhere to and ensure deadlines are met Experience with Year End Closings Knowledge of Great Plains (GPAC) and MS Great Plains Accounting Strong understanding of accounting principles and financial reporting Excellent communication and interpersonal skills Ability to work independently and in a team environment Strong analytical, problem-solving, and decision-making skills Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field CPA certification is a plus A minimum of 5 years of experience in a similar role Robert Half is the world’s first and largest specialized talent solutions firm that connects highly qualified job seekers to opportunities at great companies.
