CMSO has a mature agile practice using the Scaled Agile Framework (SAFe) and supports a broad range of complex business systems which are instrumental to the AOUSC mission.The Senior Business Objects Developer will execute the following responsibilities:

Collaborate with Product Owners (POs) and Temporary Duty Assignees (TDYs) on the design and development of national reports using Business Objects and PowerBI.

Collaborate with POs to gather requirements and help design, develop, and manage the BusinessObjects universe, Lumira dashboards, and Web Intelligence reports using Business Objects.

Understand and implement solution in support of physical data models necessary to support business intelligence reporting initiatives. Conduct research and analysis to create innovative solutions.

Assist the Agile team in writing T-SQL stored procedures and functions to enhance the data warehouse.

Incorporate standards and best practices, including performance, security, scalability, and maintainability.

Migrate BO content between the development, test, staging, and production environments.

Maintain the security model within the BusinessObjects environments and implement security within Web Intelligence reports.

Fix bugs that are reported during Independent Verification and Validation (IV&V) testing.

Maintain operations of the cluster of BusinessObjects servers, performing service pack and fix pack upgrades as needed, and performing regularly scheduled backups.

Provide training to users on report development and document modifications and enhancements for peer reference and knowledge transfer.

REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS

At least seven (7+) years of overall relevant experience.

Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Computer Programming, Computer Engineering or relevant computer-based major.

Extensive experience in universe design and Web Intelligence report development using BusinessObjects XI 4.2 or higher.

Proficient in implementing and creating reports with Lumira.

Familiarity with SQL programming in Oracle, SQL Server 2012 and higher, or Informix.

Strong analytical skills and problem-solving skills with the ability to formulate and communicate recommendations for improvement.

Experienced with process design and documentation methodologies, and design and production of quality deliverables, process and use case modeling, business case development.

Experienced in understanding business requirements and mapping into technical requirements.

Demonstrated ability to work effectively, independently, and as part of a team.

Outstanding communication, organization, time management, and interpersonal skills.

Good written and verbal communication skills coupled with strong listening skills.

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS

Demonstrated understanding of standard Data warehouse concepts.

Experience with Snowflake is desired.

Prior Experience with PowerBI would be nice to have.

Experience in BusinessObjects administration in a Windows environment.

Experience in Office 365 Online, Microsoft Azure, Microsoft Active Directory, and other Microsoft platforms (e.g., MS SQL Server, MS SQL Service Integration Services, MS SQL Server Analysis Services)

Prior experience with manual or automated testing is desired.

Knowledge of court operations and law enforcement business data.

The likely salary range for this position is $123,250 - $166,750. This is not, however, a guarantee of compensation or salary.
