Description We are seeking a HR Compliance Specialist to join our team in Herndon, Virginia. As an HR Compliance Specialist, you will be responsible for a variety of tasks that support our HR department and legal department. The HR Compliance Specialist will provide strategic advice, ensuring legal compliance, and resolving employee-related issues. Really looking for someone that has worked as a Paralegal and wanting to get their foot in the door within an HR department. This position requires prior experience working with the legal field or as a paralegal. Responsibilities: Act as the main point of contact for HR-related queries from employees and external Provide strategic advice and expertise to Human Resources and Leaders Resolve employee issues and conflicts within the work field Serve as a liaison for employee-related escalations and investigations, including but not limited to harassment, discrimination, accommodation, and retaliation. Work closely with clients and counsels on any legal cases, providing guidance to management and client to mitigate legal risks. Prepare reports for interviews and other documentation Communicate regularly with entire HR and legal departments Collaborate with HR and legal teams to ensure compliance with employment laws and regulations. Analyzes and provide guidance on unemployment claims, attend state unemployment hearings Puts together and delivers comprehensive documentation, training, and reports that supply leadership with a thorough understanding of the company’s employee relations landscape. Goes over education on the company's HR policies and processes and provide consultationRequirements Minimum of 2+ years of relevant experience in a legal or paralegal position.
