We are seeking an experienced Proposal Manager to join our dynamic team and support strategic Defense and Intel proposals.ResponsibilitiesThe Proposal Manager will develop and provide customer-ready high-quality, relevant and professional bid and presales documents such as Request for Proposals (RFP), Request for Information (RFI), Request for Quotes (RFx) responses, sales presentations, or Statements of Work (SOW).In general, proposal managers: Lead proposal process from pre-RFP to post-RFP activities, as necessary. Work directly with sales / account teams to understand customer needs and produce customer-focused proposal materials. Lead proposal support team consisting of Proposal Writer(s), Graphic Designer(s), Desktop Publisher(s), and Technical Resource(s). Follow industry standards and best practices for proposal excellence (Shipley, Association of Proposal Management Professionals [APMP], etc.). Provide proposal subject matter expertise to organize and run competitive RFx pursuits effectively and efficiently. Ensure compliance with customer requirements in all proposal submissions. Actively participate in quality programs designed to improve the deliverables that go to Microsoft customers. Support the writing, editing, prooing, design, and formatting of customer facing deliverables, including executive summaries, win themes, capability statements, orals/demos, presales presentations, SOWs, graphics, and special projects such as marketing collateral, and/or be able to delegate sections to other Proposal Writers. Facilitate Win Theme workshop, coordinating outputs with Proposal Writers for a customer-focused executive summary and overall proposal response. Set up and manage collaboration sites on SharePoint (MS Teams). Schedule and facilitate proposal status calls. Create and manage proposal schedule, compliance matrices, author assignments, and response outlines/templates. Produce final customer deliverables, whether electronic or hard copy. Work with Federal Content Manager to ensure submitted proposal content is available for input into reusable IP content repository. Post-submission activities such as lessons learned meetings, proposal support satisfaction surveys, and development of success stories for Microsoft’s references. Bachelor's Degree in Business, Operations, Finance or related field AND 6+ years work experience in program management, process management, process improvement
OR equivalent experience.
5+ years of experience in proposal management.Other QualificationsThe successful candidate must have an active U.S. Government Top Secret Security Clearance. Ability to meet Microsoft, customer and/or government security screening requirements are required for this role. Failure to maintain or obtain the appropriate clearance and/or customer screening requirements may result in employment action up to and including termination.Clearance Verification: This position requires successful verification of the stated security clearance to meet federal government customer requirements. You will be asked to provide clearance verification information prior to an offer of employment.Cloud Screening: This position will be required to pass the Microsoft Cloud background check upon hire/transfer and every two years thereafter.Citizenship & Citizenship Verification: This position requires verification of U.S citizenship due to citizenship-based legal restrictions. Familiarity with Microsoft products and solutions (including Azure and Security).Business Program Management IC5 - The typical base pay range for this role across the U.S. is USD $115,000 - $200,300 per year. There is a different range applicable to specific work locations, within the San Francisco Bay area and New York City metropolitan area, and the base pay range for this role in those locations is USD $146,200 - $219,200 per year.Certain roles may be eligible for benefits and other compensation.
