Description We are offering a short term contract employment opportunity in the insurance industry for an Accounts Receivable Clerk in Virginia Beach, Virginia. As an integral part of our team, the successful candidate will be instrumental in handling and processing direct bills as well as maintaining precise records.Responsibilities Oversee the processing and receiving of direct bills in an efficient manner Maintain and update records related to accounts receivable Utilize MS Excel to manage and analyze data effectively Handle customer inquiries and resolve any issues promptly Monitor customer accounts and take appropriate action when necessary Ensure all accounts receivable duties are completed accurately and on time Collaborate with the team to improve and streamline accounts receivable processes Maintain confidentiality and adhere to financial policies and procedures Assist with other accounts receivable tasks as needed Continually develop skills in accounts receivable and related areas. Requirements Possess at least one year of experience in a similar role, specifically as an Accounts Receivable Clerk Demonstrated proficiency in MS Excel is required Strong understanding and experience with Accounts Receivable (AR) is necessary Excellent communication and interpersonal skills are needed for liaising with clients and team members High attention to detail and accuracy in handling financial data Ability to work independently and manage multiple tasks simultaneously Demonstrated problem-solving skills with a proactive approach to finding solutions Must have a strong ethical stance towards the confidentiality of financial information Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, or a related field is preferred Ability to meet strict deadlines and work under pressure. Works as part of a sales team to provide service which anticipates and exceeds customer expectations. Duties and Responsibilities: Greets and provides specialized services to customers. Performs transactions quickly, efficiently, and professionally. Provides the following representative services Provides layaway services. Explains layaway policies and requirements. Provides refunds, merchandise exchanges, and price adjustments in accordance with NEX policy. Takes and places customer special orders as required. Computes cost and takes required deposit.
