Description We are looking for a Staff Accountant to join our team in Virginia Beach, Virginia. This role offers a contract to hire employment opportunity. As a Staff Accountant, your main focus will be on Fixed Assets and Property Tax, with a strong emphasis on using Microsoft Excel. Responsibilities: Work with Fixed Assets and Property Tax, ensuring accurate and timely processing Utilize advanced Microsoft Excel skills to manage, manipulate, and analyze data Handle treasury operations, maintaining accurate records and ensuring compliance with financial regulations Act as a point of contact for customer inquiries, resolving issues in a timely and efficient manner Monitor customer accounts, taking appropriate action when necessary Collaborate with the team to enhance the efficiency of financial operations. Requirements Proficiency in Microsoft Excel is required. Experience with Fixed Assets is necessary. Familiarity with Property Tax is desirable. Knowledge of Treasury Operations is beneficial. Skills in Treasury are advantageous. A Bachelor's Degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field is preferred. Prior experience in a Staff Accountant role is preferred. Strong analytical and problem-solving skills are required. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills are necessary. Ability to work independently and collaboratively within a team is required. Attention to detail and accuracy in all work is necessary. Ability to meet deadlines and manage multiple tasks is required. Knowledge of accounting principles and regulations is necessary. Experience with accounting software is beneficial.
